Have you been wanting to make a Fairy Garden, but don’t want to break the bank? It can be done! Let us share with you some of our  “on the cheap” tips and tricks. It’s fairy garden madness! And mind you Midge and I kept it a secret the whole time.  We didn't reveal our gardens until we recorded this weeks episode.  Midge may or may not have liked that surprise! Be sure to watch below....
What did you think?  Super fun right?  Yes, we made our Fairy/Gnome Gardens for Indoor/Outdoor use.  However, you can use these tips and tricks and create your very own fairy garden.  Let's go over a couple of the tips shall we?

Tip #1
Find old toys that you can adapt to make your fairies/gnomes

Tip #2
Head to your Local Dollar Store and pick up fun Flower Pots, or Funnels to paint for your houses.

Tip #3
Gather rocks and or tree branches from your yard to use in your garden.

Tip #4
Check out your craft stash or your junk drawer you never know what treasures you will find.

Tip #5
Be creative, have fun and make your fairy/gnome garden unique and one of a kind.

Don't you just love how Midge used bottle caps and popsicle sticks to make her bench.  She also had fun making her light post from a vintage clothes pin! And check out the chimney with the "smoke" cotton ball coming out the top! EEk, I squeal with excitement when I look at her darling fairy garden.
Picture
Did you know that Midge's wishing well works?  How cute is that?  And you all know that I love mushrooms right?? Midge made the most darling mushrooms out of cupcake liners! She really thought outside of the box on her fairy garden! I am loving each and every item aren't you?

Midge also created her trees out of coffee filters and straws! Yes, I said coffee filters!

I am crushing on my Vintage inspired gnome garden.  My gnome garden is filled with vintage toys that I turned into Gnomes making them hats out of cardstock, and paper flowers.  I used the cute bench, chair and ladder that the "Little People" used back in the 70's.  These cute little toys I bought off of Vintage Yard Sell Utah on FB.  I also used a fun little old suitcase to house my gnomes in.

I made my houses out of the on the go gum containers, and jute.  I cut an oval piece of cardstock and glued the yarn (that looks like grass) on and added the glass rocks.  My trees are fun, just cut a branch off of your tree and add pom poms!
Picture
The mushrooms were just pieces of wood, glued to a cork screw, and the doors to the houses were made out of gold plastic spoons.  This was such a fun project for me to make!

We hope that you liked todays Mingle! For a chance to win some fairy dust (aka a Glitter prize pack) of your very own, simply “Like” Midge and Madge on Facebook, and comment on this video! We love pins, comments and shares!!!  Until next time friends!!!
